nice break

The start of this song is hella trippy :P
I really like the breaks on this one, imo this song would fit probably breakbeat more than trip-hop. Great song though, here's another download for ya :)

You should really tag your audio, name your songs something like DJ_padman-*name* or something like that

dj-padman1 responds:

Thanks for the review dude! Sleep deprivation can give a guy some strange ideas. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what trip-hop is, so forgive me if I classify it incorrectly.
Thanks for the feedback, and damn, I always forget to name it! ;)

holy hell....

damn, how the hell has nobody noticed your audio?!
I have NEVER seen somebody do that kind of magic with Hoover bass before, you've got me wowed big time!
The only thing that bothered me at times was the drumline, it seems pretty familiar compared to alot of dnb songs out there. But your leads are great, the perfect amount of filtering and overdrive, pure acid!

I'm DEFINATELY going to be keeping tabs on you, this song is incredible!

btw, I should almost forcefully make you post here, it's the Audio Advertisements thread in the forums, people DO look in there, you can rack up some nice downloads, votes, and feedback from there

dj-padman1 responds:

Hoovers rock, a bit of portamento can really give a bassline juice I've found. Good observations there, the drumline is not too adventurous, I must look at that aspect again, I appreciate your advice :)
BTW, I'm flattered that you took the time to post on my behalf in the Audio advertisement thread. Not many people would actually do that, so you have my thanks.
Thanks for the insight, and the lead ;)

t3h ev1l.

yuo're getting better :)
just make sure you do what I said about those pads when you do that ;)

B34T1N responds:

yeah, I'll remember :P

Definately an upcoming artist

I've been listening to a few of your songs lately...
You've got a really unique style, reminds me a bit of the style you'd find in a phantasy star game for the genesis.

imo, you're an upcoming artist. you've got alot of talent with making scores, you just need to work up your drumlines a tad. A little stereo enhancement on your leads can do wonders too.
for the drumlines, I'd personally suggest raising the lower-midrange on the eq a slight bit, perhaps by 1-2db, and then add a slight bit of resonance to give them more of a punch.

definately going to be keeping an eye for your stuff! Imo, you could become a pretty damn good hardcore techno artist in the future, try out some 180-200bpm songs, your style is just screaming for hardcore ;)

*check my stuff sometime too! :D*

Anth0n responds:

Yeah I've listened to your stuff before, you've been around for awhile and you've improved so much from your first couple submissions. I'll definitely take your advice into consideration. Thanks for the detailed review!

Catchy as hell

I can't get this one out of my head! Tight Trance/Dance mix you have going!
Love the hard-hitting kicker, alot of power behind that.
Synths, as usual, were great. They flowed pretty well, did a nice job with the attack on them.

Feral-Fox responds:

Sweet one of my freinds told me it was pretty catchy too. The synths are my own I made of default presets, with the job of 3x Osc and z3ta+

Thanks for the review. Cya later :p

Nice mix

OK Now I've heard 3 remixes of this....I need that vocal track :P

Like what you did with that leads in this one, really crisp sound with that nice deep trance bass.

*goes out to listen to more of your stuff*

Feral-Fox responds:

:) Thanks for listening to my other tracks and the reviews. The lead I made with hypersonic 2 and the vocals are by Kate Lesing. Thanks again.

Nice work

Seems more like a breakbeat than a DnB to me personally, but either way I really like it.
Bass could use a little more power behind it, but you have a nice drumline going. That one high hat that was going every 2 steps started to get a little annoying after awhile about 3/4 of the way though, maybe it could be put in at different intervals around then or something. The final fade-out was WAY too long though, a more instant fade out would've worked better.
Issues aside, this is still a great song I'll definately put on my MP3 player!

Feral-Fox responds:

One of the long reviews eh? Yeah the drums could have been better :( I usto love doing dnb and now i dont to much. mostly couse it somtimes gets a bit boring after a while. Thanks for the criticism.

Dude...wow...

Be careful Zenon, you could be giving ParagonX9 a run for his money here XD

This is definately one of your best, and one of the best songs I've heard on the AP in AWHILE!
Like a few people have mentioned, I really didn't like the tempo change where it went from 160-180bpm down to 120bpm, just too abrupt and didn't flow well.
But the rest of this song is insanely good. The drumline was pretty diverse and nice, matched the leads perfectly.
The way you filtered the synths in and out is freaking orgasmic! (omfg...did I just say that? O.O)
I'm thinking of using this in a Darkstalkers style fighting game I have planned, probably for one of the final boss battles :D
Keep it up Zenon, I just got blown away by this, Paradise on E is not a very easy song to remix!

PERVOK responds:

You were faily close on the tempo changes, there.
It went from 175 to 100 BPM.

I was thinking of making the change more gradual, but then i thought" No, i want to fuck with peoples heads".

Thanks for the review!

You're giving ParagonX9 a run for his money!

This is pretty good! Hope you nail that signing! My only suggestion would be to maybe have the drumline not stop at the end of the pattern at the beginning, and then have that little stop be every 8 lines....then again that's my style and yours is way different :P
anyways, sounds great!

Sounds like Calyx

You usually sound a bit like Pendulum but this time around you sound a bit like Calyx!
I like this one a bit, I lost track of the time and was listening to it for 20 min ^.^
another song for the mp3 player!

Sanity is grossly overrated and detrimental to the creative process.
